Fiction Books to Add to Your Reading List
Hey you all! If you’re a reader like I am, you probably have a long list of books -mentally or physically- you want to read and eventually get to like I do, but I’m here to give you some more ideas to add to that list! Lol. Or, if you’re not as much of a reader or just don’t have many ideas at the moment, you’ve come to the right place. (I will warn you, though, I am not including my own synopses, as I have a hard time summarizing stories in my own words. Also note that I don’t remember every little detail in books that I don’t like as well or agree with, so keep in mind that while these novels are clean and some are even under the “Christian” genre, I don’t mean to promote anything that is against my values.)
I’ll start with a couple novels that I read last year.
This one not only looked interesting to me just by the cover, but it sounded interesting too! The main character, Molly, is a social media influencer who shares about fashion and beauty, and besides that, the book is of the inspirational/Christian and romance genres too which I like. I definitely enjoyed this one. There’s also a sequel about her friend, Val, which was also pretty good, although I didn’t get through it as quickly and easily as I did the first one. Here it is:
The next suggestions I have for you are in a trilogy by Jody Hedlund called The Lost Princesses. The first one’s cover (along with the main character’s name and the fact that it was a princess story) also really got me! (I think I’m a bit of a sucker for pretty covers…) I’m pretty sure I was in a princess story phase when I read these… I think I read so many medieval princess books around then that I got tired of them and didn’t end up reading the prequel. )-: (I won’t link it on here today since I haven’t read it.)
More princess stories, but more modern than the medieval ones mentioned above… I remember liking these fairly well, although I tend to forget details and often even plots of books after I read them. I don’t think I’d necessarily read these ones again, but I did get through them just fine I believe. (I read these two or three years ago, I’d say.)
There’s a fourth one of these but I don’t know if I read it. It’s a Christmas one, so I probably didn’t want to read it when it wasn’t Christmastime. Unless I did and I just forget. Anyway, there’s another one but I’m not sure if I actually read it or not. )-:
I think I’ll wrap this post up here. I hope this was a long enough list to give you some ideas to add to your 2026 reading list! I obviously won’t recommend books I specifically remember not liking, but really, even though I love books my memory is not that great when it comes to story details. One of the things about some of these ones, though, is that a lot of the characters were a lot older than me when I read them, which made them slightly less interesting to me. But overall, I remember liking these books and I hope you will find them a delight if you decide to check them out!
I think now I need to make a list of books I want to read… (-;
Before you go, let me know which of these titles you’ve read, liked, want to check out, etc.! Happy reading!
