Girly Gift Basket Ideas
I don’t know why, but lately I’ve been thinking about cute self-care-type gift baskets. I think it would be so fun to put gift baskets -even if not self-care ones- together, something I haven’t done much of but want to do more! A few great reasons to put together a gift basket for a friend right now are (1) back-to-school, (2) fall beginning, (3) birthdays, (4) just because; an act of kindness! Surprises like that are so good. Imagine getting a cute little gift basket out of the blue. Wouldn’t you like that?! If you want some ideas on what to fill a basket with, read on!
The first item on your shopping list is a basket. It can be small; you don’t have to put a ton in a basket for it to be a nice little surprise! Think about what your friend likes and the theme of your basket (if you have one), and what you want to put in it, like her favorite color, the season you’re making it for, how large the items you want to include in it are, etc. You can get a little pink plastic basket, or a sturdy wicker basket, or even a mini laundry basket!
Now for the ideas on what to fill it with!
- A lip balm or gloss. I don’t think lip balm is too personal of an item to gift most people; everyone’s lips could use moisturizing! I really like my E.L.F. Squeeze Me lip balm in Honeydew, which was actually gifted to me! You could simply put this, a pack of candy, and a handwritten card in a basket and it would make someone’s day! (-:
- A pen or pencil. Also not too personal if you aren’t as close to the receiver of the gift! Although a lot of stuff writing utencils were once used for can be done on your phone now, they are still handy to have on hand! Make it fun by getting a pen with pink-colored ink or a pencil with an inspiring quote on it!
- A bookmark. For readers, specifically! This is something you could even make yourself and wouldn’t have to spend money on!
- A blanket. Such a cozy, useful gift!
- Tea bags or hot chocolate mixes. Especially for the colder months!
- Facial mask. Good for a once-in-a-while self-pampering kind of night!
- Nail polish. Even if it’s just a bottle of clear polish! A cute, inexpensive option.
- Fuzzy socks. Need I say more?
- A hair accessory- headband, scrunchie, claw clip. It wouldn’t have to be something worn out of the house, even. I like to put my hair up when washing my face, so I usually use a clip to keep it back!
- Candy/Snacks. Think popcorn, dark chocolate, Little Debbies. (-;
- Nail care kit. Or just a cute emery board with sparkles or a fun print. Something useful that anyone could use, and could keep in a purse or car!
- Lotion.
- Hand sanitizer.
- Loofah or wash cloths.
- Bath bomb or bubble bath.
- Bar of soap- maybe even homemade!
- Travel-sized body/hair mist. It doesn’t have to be a travel-size, but a larger bottle of a random perfume might not be the best option unless you know for sure what your friend’s favorite fragrance is.
- Hair mask. Look for one that’s good for any hair type!
- A candle.
- Eyelash comb or curler
- Small eyeshadow or blush palette.
- Sugar scrub soap.
- A book or puzzle
- Flowers. Real, living ones.
- Baked goods. Homemade by you!
- A gift card or gift certificate. Barnes & Noble, Sephora, and Amazon are a few options for gift cards, and a pedicure or massage for a gift certificate!
If you’ve been wanting to give a friend or family member a fun, special gift, I hope this list helped! You certainly do not need to put everything from this list into one basket! Pick a few things you believe your friend would enjoy, arrange it in the basket, add some tissue paper or tie a bow around it, and voila! Don’t forget to stick a little note in it!
What items would you add to the list?
Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous day! <3
