What I’ve Been Into Lately
Hi everyone! I thought it would be fun to update you all on what I’ve been recently enjoying! No material things bring me true joy, and money doesn’t bring lasting happiness, but these are just some things that I like and think are fun when I’m not working or busy with other responsibilities! (-:

CURRENT READ: Elsie at Nantucket, book 10 in the Original Elsie Classics by Martha Finley. This book has been rather slow and laid back, but I still find it interesting- something relaxing with a summer feel to it. Elsie is now a grandmother, and she goes on a summer trip to the island of Nantucket with a large party consisting of much of her family. I love reading about life back in the 1800’s -when this series is set-, and I really like the Christian aspect and sweet characters the story is about. I’m ready for some more romance, though; we haven’t had any new developments for a while in the series!

MUSIC: I haven’t really had much time for this one, but I have been trying to get through Britt Nicole’s album “II II V,” which apparently came out last fall but for some reason I only recently realized she came out with an entire new album. I haven’t finished it, but so far I don’t think it will be making it in my top plays of the month or year or anything. I have really liked her in the past, though, so I’m a bit disappointed I don’t like this album more. I also tried the album “Dawn Patrol” by PARTY WAVE & Forrest Frank, because I heard about it from another blogger and it sounded interesting, specifically since I know who Forrest Frank is and have liked some of his stuff before. I think I’ll have to give it another listen, but I think I liked it fairly well. I love summer vibes! Those are probably my most recent discoveries… I tend to listen to a select few songs or albums for a while, grow tired of them, not know what to listen to, then eventually find something else to be obsessed with for a while. Lol. It’s an ongoing cycle!
TV: I don’t know if you were here in December, but if you were this is a little weird for me to admit, but I’m still on the Aurora Teagarden mysteries. (I’m rewatching them several years after I first watched them, so it’s almost as if I’ve never seen them because my memory of them isn’t very good.) Granted, I watch them with my sister so we have to both be available at the same time to watch them. We just watched the 14th of 18 this past weekend. We’re almost there! Haha! Also, I never really watch shows. And certainly nothing on live TV- I wouldn’t be able to keep up! But I knew of a certain old show that I figured I’d watch someday, and that someday recently came around! I suddenly had the urge to start “Road to Avonlea,” so I ordered the first season from the library system and started it last week. I really liked the Anne of Green Gables movies -the ones starring Megan Follows- and thought I’d probably like this series as well since it looked like it was a spin-off of the movies. And I do so far! I haven’t actually read the books the show is based off of, mainly because I didn’t realize it was based off any books, but I didn’t want to wait to start it before getting to the books! My TBR is long enough as it is, especially because in the series I’m reading, I’ve got 18 more books to go! Lol!!! XD
DRINK: Lemon water!! I fill a tumbler with a water bottle and squeeze half a lemon in it. It’s so good and I love knowing it’s healthy for me!
LIPPIE: Laneige’s Strawberry Sprinkles Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum! I had a gift card from Christmas I wanted to use during the semi-annual sale at Sephora and at first wanted to try out the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm, because I’ve seen it around and it looked good, but as I shopped the lady working was very helpful and told me the Laneige ones had more of a tint to them, which I liked, so after trying out a few lip products of both brands, I decided to get the Laneige one first. (I still would like a few of the Summer Fridays ones eventually, though!) One thing I’m not as much of a fan of is the flavor, though. Well, I actually don’t really mind the taste; it’s more the name of the flavor. I don’t really like cake-flavored things, and I just didn’t think “strawberry sprinkles” sounded very appealing. So it’s not really the flavor; it’s the fact that it’s called what it is! Haha!

Well, I think that about wraps it up! I mean, there are lots of things in my life that I love and enjoy doing, but these are the “right now” kind of things I felt like sharing with you! (-: Hope you enjoyed! What have YOU been into lately? Do you like any of the things on my list? Comment!!

I love this! Thank you for sharing these things that bring you joy—it’s so sweet and beautiful!
Lately, my little things that bring me joy have been: running, rereading the Penderwicks, walking in the evenings with my family and my dog, writing, fiddling around with designing a cover, and the sound of rain on my roof at night!💕
Thank you, Lola! And you’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed! Aww, thanks for sharing what you’ve been loving lately! I like hearing the rain, too!
