6 Months of AlexLinnInspired!

I can’t believe AlexLinnInspired is already half a year old! I’m so excited for this milestone, though small! I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

First of all, if you’re new here, welcome! I am so happy you decided to stop by. The AlexLinnInspired blog is here for you, offering encouragement and positivity, fashion and beauty tips, and fun ideas to make the most of everyday life!

Secondly, I want to thank all my readers. Thank you for visiting my site. Thank you for your encouraging comments. Thank you for every time you come back. Thank you for the likes and shares. Thank you for the affiliate link clicks. It is all so appreciated and it encourages me to keep doing what I’m doing!

Now I want to tell you a bit about my blogging “journey” so far.

I have always loved to write. I’ve been making up stories and writing them in notebooks and writing letters and notes to friends ever since I learned how to write. I haven’t yet published a book, but I’m so glad I found another way to share my passion for writing with the world for now. Blogging has been so much fun. It’s been my creative outlet over these past months. It’s an easier way for me to express myself clearly than speaking, especially for an audience. I have been able to write whatever has been weighing on my mind in my own space, hopefully simultaneously encouraging others.

These past six months have had their highs and lows for me. I think I started blogging at just the right time. The few years after graduating high school, I’ve found from experience, can be challenging. Trying to figure out what to do with one’s life at such a young age can be hard. Getting my thoughts out and having a fun hobby to invest in that has meaning has also helped with my mental health. I honestly can hardly imagine these past several months of my life without this blog. It means so much to me, and I do it more for myself than for anyone. I even recently found myself going back to a post to see what my own advice was on a certain topic! My blog may not be the most professional yet and I may not get much traffic right now, but that’s ok; I simply enjoy doing this. And I think that’s reason enough for me to continue to pursue it.

I know my blog can be somewhat of a hodgepodge of topics, so I hope you’ll bear with me. Since this is a personal, lifestyle blog, I have the freedom to write about whatever I want and interests me. However, I know it doesn’t all apply to everyone. I had envisioned it being a blog geared toward girls, especially girls a bit younger than myself whom I could share my experiences and advice with, like a big sister does to her little sisters. I don’t really know if that’s been the case or not, but I hope that no matter who you are, you feel welcome and loved here. I aspire to shine light in this space, something I hope I’ve accomplished so far even in these few months.
