AlexLinnInspired’s Interview Tag! Interviewing Myself

Hello, everyone! I have been tagged for several tags lately, so why not throw in one more? (And do it first, apparently.) Lol! I figured I’d eventually do this one I created back in March for my blog’s “birthday,” and now I guess I feel like finally doing it… Anyway, it’s been really fun seeing this tag circulate! I’d never created one before, so it’s really cool to see it on other blogs! Well, here we go!

Q’s

1. What made you want to start a blog and how did it come about?

I’d been thinking about it for probably a few years, although at first I wanted to use it for sharing my stories with the world. However, that idea shifted and I still to this day have not shared any of my stories publicly. Then I thought it could be a side hustle to earn some money. So far, that also hasn’t really worked out so well. (Lol)

2. What is your blog about?

Pretty much anything and everything I feel like sharing online. I know bloggers are encouraged to stick to a niche, and that had kind of been my plan in the beginning, but… this is my very own website so I can do with it what I want, and I like not having limits to what I can share here. However, some of the main things I write about include my spiritual/theological beliefs as a believer in and follower of the Lord, which I have found I really enjoy writing about, photos of my outfits as someone who loves clothes (even though I fail to take photos or have them taken for me a lot of the time), and fun activities and hobby ideas for others to try. I aim to be encouraging and light-hearted here and make others feel loved! And I hope my tagline proves true to what I post! “Faith, Fashion, Fun!”

3. How long have you been blogging (or how old is your blog)?

One year and two months!!!

4. What was your first blog post about?

My “About” post. About the blog and me. I was recently thinking how I really should make an “about” page… I probably should have done so in the beginning. Hehe…

5. What kind of posts might we be seeing on your page in the near future?

This is a good one! Actually, I am planning to do some series! I kind of don’t want to spoil too much, but I’m also curious about what you all think… I was recently working on a series on etiquette and being ladylike, so I definitely want to post that one because I spent ALL DAY on a few of those posts… But I have a few other ideas for series that I will keep to myself for now. So I guess you can let me know what you think about that idea if you want.

6. Aside from blogging, what are some of your other writing aspirations, if you have any?

Oh, girl (me). I would really like to start writing stories again sometime. And I probably will. But I have so many other things to keep up with, like this blog, for instance, which I love, and I really haven’t had any stories creeping into my head lately. That could partly be because my head is filled with all those things I need -and want- to keep up on and do, though. I haven’t brainstormed, but I’d kind of hoped the start of a story would just come to me. And I would like to get a book published eventually, too. It’s been a childhood dream that I haven’t let go of, it’s just been kinda tucked away for a while. Even if I self-publish. I don’t exactly want to make a career out of it. I’ve just always loved writing, and I’ve worked on many stories over the years and I loved it. I was kind of just waiting on the “right time” feeling, and a story idea to come along, I suppose. Anyway, let’s move on.

7. Why do you blog?

Because I love it! It’s fun and something I feel like I’m decent at. I am not very good at the website designing and all the tech-related stuff, but I so enjoy the writing aspect of it! At least I know how to upload photos. I had done well in the beginning taking and using my own, but I have been slacking with that… Anyway, I blog because I like to and want to use the talent God has gifted me with for good! I want to share the truth with others and shine light in this dark world!

8. What are some interesting/fun facts about you?

Ooh, this is a fun one, but one I have trouble answering in ice-breaker games. Well, one is that I have the same amount of cousins as I have siblings. Not that that’s exactly mainly about me, though…

Oh, I know! I have a blog.

I took two years of piano as a kid, two years of dance (one of them being in competition!), and played nine years of soccer. (Yes, nine years. And no, I was not actually very good. It just took me nine years to realize I wasn’t really athletic. Lol. (-;) Oh, and I played rec volleyball one year.

I take adult dance classes- mainly ballet.

Makeup is a hobby.

Shopping is also a hobby. Or pastime, rather.

Favorite movies are the two Princess Diaries movies, (I cannot wait for the third to come out, yet am prepared for disappointment. They don’t make movies like they used to.) Moms’ Night Out, and Pride and Prejudice.

Are those interesting enough? I feel like an interesting person to myself, but not to other people, so…???

Oh, I just realized it also said “fun” facts, too… Well, I don’t know if those are fun, but I’m not redoing them.

9. If you could tell the world anything, what would it be?

You guys are right, this is a big, hard question. I feel like I would want to tell them -or it- that God created them and loves them, but I also want to sound more insightful or deep or say it in a more meaningful way. Like God created you on purpose, and with a plan for your life. And He knows what’s best and wants what’s best. I don’t know, I’d probably have to think more on that one. But I don’t know because that’s not exactly what I go around telling people. And I don’t know if I even have written all that on my blog. So yeah, I don’t know for sure.

(I really do feel like I’m talking to myself right now!)

10. If you were to start another blog, what would it be about?

HOMESCHOOLING! I loved experiencing it growing up, and want to be a homeschool teacher in the future. I mean, I am one now, but I still want to be one in the future too. I could write about my experiences with it, my opinions on various related subjects, helping people who are considering or starting it… I may eventually make this a reality. (-:

11. Who is your favorite author?

Probably Martha Finley. Also Lucy Maud Montgomery and Laura Ingalls Wilder.

12. Summer or winter? (And why!)

Need I even answer?

SUMMER!!! Because it’s WARM and there’s the SUN and SWIMMING and tanning and flip-flops and shorts and tank tops and cute dresses and other summertime clothes and free time and the Fourth of July and vitamin D and the scent of sunscreen and doing fun outdoor activities and daylight at night and free time and trips and a summery feeling and… Probably a lot of other things. (-:
