Q&A Time!!!

Hello, everyone! Hope you’re having a beautiful day! I’m starting to celebrate one year of AlexLinnInspired this week (even though the official day is next week; the 19th), and I thought it would be fun to kick off the celebration with a Q&A! So, please, ask anything you are curious about down in a comment! It can be about the blog or me or whatever! Feel free to ask more than one question, too! (And just know that if I’m not completely comfortable answering certain questions here on the internet, you might not get quite the kind of answer you’re looking for.) I will either pick a day in the next few days to get all your questions answered at once, or I might answer at my own convenience throughout the rest of the week as you ask.

Before we get to that, though, I want to officially invite you back next Thursday for the main celebration of the blog’s FIRST BIRTHDAY! I have some fun things planned for the coming weeks, actually; not just next week, but I especially want you to come back next week since it’s the actual day!!! If you aren’t subscribed and would like to be notified when I post, feel free to do so now so you won’t miss anything! (And just a heads up, when I say I have fun “things” planned, that means fun posts; no, I’m not having a party… Sorry. Well, it is a party, it’s just online, not irl.)

Anyway, please come back the next few Thursdays, and please comment below with questions!!!

Ask away!

What has been most rewarding for you about blogging this past year?

    • Alexis says:

Probably the aspect of it being a creative outlet for me, where I have the freedom to express myself by doing something I love in my own space, sometimes unburdening my mind or heart while hopefully bringing light and encouragement and enjoyment to others!
Thanks for asking! More on that next week!😉

I was wondering how you, or any other blogger, pick new topics every week for an entire year or more?

Good question! Since my blog is a lifestyle blog, I feel like I can write about anything going on in my life or my brain! I have so many hobbies and opinions and passions that I just write whatever I’m in the mood to share about. I love sharing the truth of God’s word with others, advice from my life experiences, and fun ideas and things I’ve been into lately. I also believe God helps me think of ideas and guides me to write what He wants me to share!
Thanks for the comment! Hope you’re having a great day!

This is so fun! And congratulations on a year of blogging! That is so incredible!💕
What began your blogging journey? What inspired you to take the first step?
If you could spend a day with any character from any novel, TV show, or movie, who would you choose and what would you do together?
What character do you relate most to (from any novel)?

      Thank you, Lola!!
I think I originally had the idea of starting a blog to share my fictional stories I wrote in notebooks with more than just family, but didn’t end up going that route. The idea of starting a blog lingered, though, and I finally decided to start one, only instead of my stories I thought it would be fun to share outfit and hairstyle ideas and give big-sisterly advice to younger girls and things like that. The post content has kind of evolved since then, but those types of posts are still sprinkled in there! As for what inspired me to take the first step, I think it was partly because I was in-between jobs (I actually had an interview and got hired the day I started this blog!), so it seemed like a good time for some change in my life. I also thought eventually monetizing it would be helpful, but that hasn’t been so successful so far! Lol. I guess I just finally felt ready to make it a reality!
Man, these are great questions! For spending a day with a character, I think I would say either Laura Ingalls Wilder, Anne (of Green Gables), or Elsie Dinsmore (granted I could time-travel), and I would spend a spring or summer day with them doing whatever they did on a typical day, learning more about life back in their time and enjoying the lifestyle!
Oh, my! I don’t know for sure! I might go with Mary from Little House, since we’re both first-born daughters with first-born personality traits and such, with large-ish families, and we both have a sister not much younger than us that we’re close friends with… Thankfully I am not blind, though!
Thank you so much for all the fun, interesting questions! I hope you’re having a great weekend!
