Little Winter Life Update
Hi everyone! Today I am not doing a regular post, but wanted to stick to my Thursday schedule as usual. I have several drafts, including a tag I want to do and a deeper, longer post that I didn’t feel was the right time to put up quite yet. I have been so busy but it’s a good busy! I have been so thankful for everything I’m a part of in life right now, the way God’s been speaking to me, the ways He answers my prayers… I am so blessed and am in a happy season of life right now. I hope you are too, but if not, know that there is hope! Turn your eyes upon Jesus!

Fun things I’ve been into right now: Watching Olympic figure skating, reading the eighth Elsie book, “Grandmother Elsie,” keeping up with other blogs (which very much includes reading book recommendations while my Elsie book sits next to me waiting patiently, lol), trying to keep my hands and lips moisturized with hand lotion/cream and lip oil/balm in this cold, dry weather, re-watching the Aurora Teagarden mystery movies (not exactly sure why though because I don’t like movies with murder and death, lol!), and drinking tea and hot chocolate!

What have you all been up to? What little things are you finding quite pleasant and enjoyable this winter? I don’t typically like winter very well, but this year has hit a little different, and I give God the glory! I know it might sound weird, but I think having so much snow has helped, in a way. I guess it makes it feel more like winter, and it’s pretty. Without it winter is so bleak and bare and boring to me. I also think staying busy with things I enjoy doing has helped, and also having more balance in my life right now!

Please feel free to comment just to say whatever is on your mind! If you’re new, you’re welcome to subscribe and/or follow my Instagram account to be notified of new posts, and browse old posts if you want to get to know the blog better! (AlexLinnInspired is almost one year old already!!!) Perhaps I will even post one of those drafts yet this week.
I hope you have a wonderful day, everyone, and sorry I don’t have a regular post for you today! Stay tuned! And remember to pray today! <3

Yes, the snow ,makes it look so much more wintry. I don'[t want the roads to be bad for those that have to be out driving and not a fan of the super cold temps, but I think winter helps me appreciate when Spring comes w/ all the new buds on the trees, flowers blooming and everything coming alive once again. I like that I live where I have all four seasons. And God shows his beauty in each one.
Yes, driving in it is horrible. But I also like when the seasons -winter in this case- actually feel like the season it is. And yes, there is beauty in them all, even in winter. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! (-:
I love how cozy and wintry this post is, and how you shared the little things that are bringing you joy!❤️
For me it’s writing, reading, running in the cool wind, taking my dog for evening walks with my family, and making friends in my classes!
Thank you!!
Aww, I love it! What are you currently reading? And yay for new friends!! Thanks for sharing!
I’ve been reading a lot of different genres—but the one that stuck with me the most these past few weeks has been “Things We Didn’t Say” it’s about a young woman linguist who works at a German POW camp during WWII, told entirely through letters and newspaper clippings. It’s so beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes and I had to pull myself away from it every night so I could actually get sleep!😂
Oh wow! That’s an interesting way to tell a story! I’m glad you like it so well. Those are the best books- the ones that keep us turning the pages and that can evoke such deep and real emotion within us. Thanks for your reply!
So true! (What you said about the best kind of books!)😊
I’m so glad that you’re enjoying the Winter this year. I’ve enjoyed looking at the snow as well, but it’s disappearing quite quickly now. 😕
❤️ ❄️
Thank you! Yes, it is! Thankful for the sunshine though!
