On Purpose, for a Purpose
Did you know that you were created on purpose, for a purpose? God knew He was going to create you far before He created the world. He made you just the way He wanted you, special and unique.
Comparison is so common among us humans. Is it necessary? No. Is it healthy? Also no. God made us all different and that’s a good thing! He has different plans for each of us, and gave all of us different strengths, weaknesses, talents, and gifts. Just like snowflakes, there are no two humans just alike.
Sometimes it’s hard to realize what we’re here for, what we’re good at, and what we can or are supposed to do. I believe that we are ultimately meant to glorify God and use what He has blessed us with for Him. To me, this means things like putting my health to good use and going out and serving where I feel led, giving when I have the resources to give, and sharing my spiritual beliefs when opportunity presents itself. However, I don’t always feel that I have resources or opportunities to live out my purpose, and it’s discouraging. What I’ve been learning, though, or rather being reminded of, is that God’s plans for me aren’t only future plans; He has plans for me right now! Even in the routines of life, I can still live for Him, maintaining a Christ-like attitude and mindset, and treating those around me the way I want to be treated.
You are not your body, your bank account, or your past. You are created by God, the creator of all things beautiful, and He loves you. He wants to have a personal relationship with you, and for all of us to be with Him in heaven one day. I hope that if you haven’t made the decision to accept Him as your Savior, you will make that choice before it’s too late.
Thanks for reading! Remember that God created you and placed you here for a reason!
