Two Reads for Spring
Are you looking for a couple motivational reads this spring? Or maybe reading isn’t on your list of priorities, but you would like to eventually get into it. Perhaps picking up a 300-page novel or biography hasn’t even crossed your mind. No matter where you are in your reading journey, there’s no time like the present to start reading a book, and spring is a great time to create a fresh start for yourself. Here I am going to share with you two books I read last year that really stuck out to me.
The first book I want to suggest is The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. This was a very interesting, informative, and insightful read that inspired and motivated me. It caused me to desire to treat those around me better and to be mindful of how they most feel loved and appreciated. I won’t go into too much detail so as not to spoil it, but this work gave me a better understanding of the world and the way people think and get along. I would recommend this book to young adults and older!
My other recommendation is Kind is the New Classy: The Power of Living Graciously by Candace Cameron Bure. I’ve read a few other of Candace’s books and have enjoyed them all! This one was also so inspirational and motivated me to be a better version of myself. She shared some really great tips, ideas, and stories in this book about treating others well and letting your light shine. I would suggest this one for young adult-aged and older as well.
I hope these two suggestions were helpful if you have been in a reading slump, or a couple fresh ideas if you’ve been unsure what to read next. I especially like books that encourage me to be a better person, and for me, these two certainly qualify! If you’ve read any books that have inspired you to be a better you, leave me a comment and let me know what they are!
