Summer Bucket List #1

Hey everyone! I made a list for you full of fun activities to get out and go do this summer! I know for some people it can be hard to actually organize a day out with friends, but summer only lasts a few months of the year and your life is now! So pick at least one or two of these ideas and spice up your summer!

1. Go to an outdoor concert. Find one that interests you, don your cutest summer outfit, and grab your besties for an evening of jamming out and singing along to your favorite songs. Don’t forget to bring an extra layer like a jacket in case it gets chilly!

2. Go to the zoo. Grab a camera and your walking shoes and maybe a niece or nephew and go see the animals! Which one was your favorite as a kid? Which is your favorite now? I know; they’re all so cool!

3. Go to an outdoor shopping mall. Bring along your wallet and your girlies and look for some fun summer items to bring home or use for your next bucket list item! But don’t spend too much! You still have seven more things to do before summer ends!

4. Go to a baseball game. Wear that ball cap you bought at the mall and head out to the diamond! Whether it’s your local high school or your city’s major league team, spend an evening or afternoon cheering in the stands with a hot dog and popcorn in hand! Maybe you’ll have a new favorite athlete by the end!

5. Go to a county fair. Play the games, eat the food, ride the rides, look at the animals, watch the people, take the pictures. Have FUN! (The fair lights always look so cool at night!)

6. Go to the beach. Take a day or weekend trip if you don’t live near a lake or ocean, and take in the experiences it has to offer! Swimming, boating, walking, and building sand castles are only a few of the options out there. You can also collect shells, bird watch, picnic, and more! What are your favorite beach side activities? (Don’t forget the sunscreen!)

7. Go kayaking. All the times I have been kayaking have been so peaceful! I enjoy taking in the scenery and just chilling on the water. It’s also a good form of exercise. Be careful not to lose anything in the water!

8. Go to a water park. Pack a car full of buddies and wear your favorite swimsuit and enhance your summer with water slides, lazy rivers, and wave pools!

9. Go watch fireworks. Be patriotic and celebrate this summer! Often, watching fireworks is a free event! Find a cozy spot in the grass or chill in the bed of a truck and be mesmerized by the bright, booming show.

10. Go on a camping trip or attend a week-long camp. Set up a tent in the backyard, take a camper and travel to the mountains, or sign up for a themed camp lodging in a cabin! Pick a weekend this summer where you can spend quality time with your family in the great outdoors and go prepared. Don’t forget the bug spray!

11. Go to -or host- a bonfire. Roast hot dogs and s’mores, sing campfire songs, and look up and find the Big Dipper!

12. Go to a pool party. Or, if you have a pool, invite others over to hang in the water with you! Bring your bathing suit, sunscreen, and sunglasses, turn the music up, and make a splash!

13. Go to (or host!) a cookout. Get the grill going! Set up chairs in the backyard, make lemonade, and play cornhole. Tell your friends to bring a friend, and be sure there’s enough of the delicious food for everyone!

14. Go get a pedicure. Take your mom, grandma, sister or friend and go get your feet pampered and ready for summer! So pretty!

15. Go to an outdoor movie theater. Find a nearby drive-in theater and go see a movie from the comfort of your car!

Have an incredible summer checking off the items on this list! Take the initiative and make plans. Try new things. Be yourself. Who knows? Maybe you’ll make some new friends doing these activities!

How many of these cool summertime activities have you experienced in your lifetime? Which ones are staples of your summers? Are there any you’ve never, ever experienced? What are some exclusively summertime activities that I’ve left out of this list that you don’t go a summer without?
