Starter Guide to Accessorizing Your Car

Hey all! Are you ready to spruce up the appearance of your car- inside and out? Whether you already have some personalization in or on your ride or your vehicle is as bare as it can be, I have a few tips for you on how to make traveling an even better experience! Let’s go!

The Exterior

One of the first things I added to my car after I bought it was a license plate frame. Being the girly girl I am, I picked a rhinestone-filled one for my back plate. It came from Amazon and it’s still giving my car a small yet cute touch!

Something I’ve considered eventually adding to my car is a cute front plate that matches the colors of the rest of my car decor. (This is only a good option for those who live in a state where you don’t have to have a real front license plate, of course.)

Another fun idea is to stick car decals and magnets on the bumper, back window, etc. You don’t have to make your vehicle look trashy; just a couple cute little details will do if you want a simple yet attractive look. If you want more, though, go for it! The more you put on, the more interesting it looks. There are also car door handle decals you could look into!

These are the easy exterior ideas I wanted to share with you that I have personally tried or at least liked, though there are many more ways you could liven up the outside appearance of your ride. Let’s leave it at that for now and move on to what I like in the inside!

Interior

To go along with my gemstone plate frame, I also have a sparkly steering wheel cover. People ask me how it feels and if I like it, and I always say yes, that I like it and it doesn’t bother me. However, that’s only my personal opinion, so some people may find it scratchy and uncomfortable. You don’t have to get a cover with rhinestones around it, however. There are plenty of other options out there! And if you purchase one and don’t end up liking the feel of it, there’s likely an option to return it wherever it came from!

There are more than just covers for your wheel- there are seat covers, seat belt covers, and even rearview mirror framing covers too! You can find sets online with matching seat covers, steering wheel covers, mats, and more all included in one package! I like the idea of protection from dirt and spills and such in a vehicle- they can get pretty dirty pretty quickly!

My next idea is an air freshener. I have a pretty holder that hooks onto my air vent and I can change out the scents after they run out, keeping the holder the same to match my other accessories. I haven’t tried other kinds of air vent clips, but there are decorative ones you don’t put air freshener in.

Something you can have fun with and interchange as you please is something to hang in your rearview mirror! It could be an actual rearview mirror hanger, or it could be a necklace, bracelet, Christmas ornament, etc. If you’re like me and love to jam out to music in your car, you might consider a disco ball hanging from the mirror! It’s extra fun in the sun! Just sayin’. (-;

There are also fun, colorful lights you can add to the vehicle’s interior! The ones I have are LED strips that stick to the interior and you plug into the auxiliary power outlet and connect to Bluetooth.

These are some of my favorite interior ideas to decorate your car with. I like to call my car a “party car,” although no parties have ever actually taken place in it. It’s usually just me cruising along with the radio on and the sparkles from my decorations reflecting in the sun. (-; (I believe it’s very important to be safe while driving!)

Thanks for reading! Have fun decorating your car!
