Life Update & Encouragement
Hey everyone! Man, this past week was so busy for me! Crazy how things can change from week to week. Thankfully, most of the things that kept me busy were fun things- a family birthday and party, a concert, and a bonfire (something to check off of my Fall Bucket List!) to name a few. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs lately it seems like, but this week was mostly full of ups, and I’m so thankful! I’m looking forward to the coming weeks and seeing where God will lead during them. I think there may be some changes on the horizon for me, and I’m a mixture of nervous and excited! I’ve been praying for God’s direction and guidance for a while now in a season of uncertainty, and I feel that I can now see some of my prayers starting to be answered.
I’ve been uncertain as to what to do with myself in this specific season of life for a while, and have been praying a lot about it. I’ve been really wanting to organize my life a bit better and put more effort into certain areas, and I think some things are finally starting to fall into place. There have been some new opportunities for me recently, and now I just have to see where they’ll go. I really want God’s will to be done in my life, but I know that faith without works is dead, so I need to do my part to prepare to get to where He wants me to be. I know that if I sit around at home doing nothing, waiting for Him to do something, it’s possible but unlikely He will completely change things for me. I really want to encourage you, if you’re in a similar season of life, to just keep praying, reading your Bible, and keeping your eyes open to opportunities He might have for you. He really does amazing things. Last month, I had a dream literally come true and I’m living it right now! It’s a smaller dream of mine -not one of my bigger, main hopes and desires for my life, but still a dream come true nonetheless. I am so thankful for God’s faithfulness and patience with me, and for everything He does in my life!
There are still a lot of things I want to change in my life, whether it’s building up certain character traits, or for life circumstances to change, or whatever the case may be, but I know that God has it all in His hands. I know sometimes it’s hard to have faith, but it’s so worth it. We’ll always have ups and downs in life, uncertainties and even helplessness at times, but God is so faithful and He is so powerful and simply indescribable. So keep praying and trusting, and remember that His thoughts are not our thoughts or our ways His ways; His are so much higher.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.”
Proverbs 3:5-8
